Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Somalia, Amb. Wang Yu.
The meeting focused on strengthening the relationship and cooperation between the two countries, with both sides reaffirming the importance of maintaining and advancing their longstanding friendship and partnership.
The Minister of Defence expressed his appreciation to the Government of the People’s Republic of China for its continued support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
For his part, Ambassador Wang Yu commended Somalia’s achievements in the fight against terrorism and praised the efforts of the Somali Government to strengthen peace, stability, and security in the region.
