Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Moallim Mahmoud, today received the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) and senior leadership of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at his office in Mogadishu.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in the implementation of the Justice Sector Strategy 2025–2029 and expanding access to justice services across the country.
Minister Hassan expressed appreciation for the European Union’s continued support to Somalia’s justice sector and commended UNDP’s role in implementing the Joint Justice and Corrections Programme (JJCP), a key initiative aimed at improving justice delivery and correctional services in Somalia.
The discussions underscored the shared commitment of the Federal Government of Somalia, the EU and UNDP to advancing justice sector reforms and enhancing access to justice for all citizens.
