Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (NIEBC) has announced the timetable for the election of the Speaker of the South West State House of Representatives and the leadership of the South West State Administration.
According to the schedule, the submission of candidacy applications for the Speaker and Deputy Speakers, as well as the publication of the final list of candidates, will take place from 2–3 June.
On 4 June, candidates for the Speakership will deliver their campaign speeches, followed by the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives on the same day.
The submission of candidacy applications for the position of South West State Leader will take place from 5–6 June, while the official list of candidates will be announced on 7 June.
Candidates contesting for the leadership of South West State will present their campaign speeches on 8 June.
The election of the South West State Leader is scheduled to be held on 10 June, in line with the electoral timetable released by the Commission.
