Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, on Saturday received the Ambassador of Yemen to Somalia, H.E. Fadl Ali Ahmed Al-Hanak, at his office in Mogadishu.
The meeting focused on strengthening the longstanding brotherly relations between the two countries, particularly cooperation in combating human trafficking and addressing migration-related issues, given the deep historical and social ties shared by Somalia and Yemen.
Prime Minister Hamza noted that Somalia and Yemen have maintained strong diplomatic, trade and people-to-people relations for decades, emphasizing the importance of enhancing joint cooperation in security, commerce, and maritime and air transport.
Ambassador Al-Hanak thanked the Prime Minister for the warm reception and commended Somalia’s progress in development, security and democracy, expressing Yemen’s appreciation for Somalia’s ongoing recovery and stabilization efforts.
