Mogadishu (SONNA): The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), on Monday evening hosted Farah Maalim, a Member of the Kenyan Parliament, along with a delegation he is leading on an official visit to Somalia.
The well-organized dinner reception brought together members of both houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, federal ministers, the Banadir Regional Administration’s Deputy Governor for Security and Politics Mohamed Ahmed Diriye (Yabooh), as well as politicians and traditional elders.
The gathering served as a formal welcome and an opportunity for dialogue, with participants holding broad discussions on Somalia’s current situation and issues related to regional relations in the Horn of Africa and East Africa.
Mayor Muungaab highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation and social integration during the event.
In conclusion, the delegation led by MP Farah Maalim commended the Banadir leadership for its role in advancing the development of the capital and fostering stronger ties within Somali communities.
