Mogadishu(SONNA)-The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, in partnership with Al-Mahasin Foundation, has completed the distribution of Zakat al-Fitr assistance across Somalia ahead of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
The project, implemented over several days of intensive fieldwork, reached thousands of vulnerable families and internally displaced people across the Benadir region and parts of South West State. Aid was delivered to displacement camps, water point areas, and communities in Lafole and Afgoye, where humanitarian needs remain high.
In Mogadishu, the distribution also targeted orphan care centers and patients with special needs at Martini Hospital, ensuring that the most vulnerable groups received support before the holiday.
The initiative comes amid ongoing drought and displacement that have worsened living conditions and increased reliance on humanitarian assistance. Al-Mahasin Foundation stated that the project was carried out with high standards of transparency and coordination with local authorities and community committees to ensure timely delivery to eligible beneficiaries.
The effort reflects KSrelief’s continued humanitarian commitment to Somalia, supporting vulnerable communities and strengthening social solidarity during critical times.
