Hiran, SONNA – The Somali National Army (SNA) carried out planned security operations today in the eastern parts of Hiran region as part of the ongoing national campaign to eliminate Kharijite militants and stabilize liberated areas.
Military officials confirmed that the offensive targeted identified militant positions with the objective of clearing remaining threats, securing vital supply and transportation routes, and ensuring the protection of civilian communities.
The operation forms part of broader coordinated efforts across central Somalia aimed at consolidating security gains and preventing the re-emergence of extremist elements in strategic corridors.
Authorities reiterated that sustained operations will continue until full security and freedom of movement are restored throughout the region.
