Mogadishu, SONNA – The Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Abdulkadir Ali, has underscored the Federal Government’s intensified focus on stabilization and early recovery efforts in Lower Shabelle, particularly along the strategic Sabiid–Awdheegle corridor.

Speaking during recent remarks, the Director General emphasized that coordinated interventions are currently underway to consolidate gains in newly liberated areas and support affected communities.

Delivering Peace Dividends

He noted that ongoing initiatives include life-saving humanitarian assistance, rehabilitation of community housing, strengthened engagement with local communities, and enhanced institutional support to local authorities.

The Director General stressed that these measures reflect the Government’s firm commitment to delivering tangible peace dividends and restoring essential services in areas emerging from conflict.

The stabilization drive in Lower Shabelle forms part of broader national efforts aimed at reinforcing governance structures, improving security, and accelerating recovery in districts recently freed from extremist control.
