Mogadishu, (SONNA) — Members of the two chambers of the Federal Parliament of Somalia today concluded deliberations on Chapter Nine of the Provisional Constitution during the 21st joint sitting of the Parliament’s 7th session.
The session was chaired by the First Deputy Speaker of the Upper House, Ali Shacban Ibrahim, alongside the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of the People, Abdullahi Omar Abshiraw, and the Second Deputy Speaker of the Upper House, Abdullahi Hirsi Timacadde.
The meeting focused on advancing discussions on Chapter Nine of the Provisional Constitution, with lawmakers from both chambers holding extensive and substantive debates on its provisions.
Closing the session, Deputy Speaker Ali Shacban Ibrahim announced the completion of parliamentary debate on Chapter Nine and commended members of both chambers for their active participation and contributions.
