MOGADISHU (SONNA) — The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Moalim Mohamud, held a productive meeting with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Yılmaz Tunç. The high-level discussion focused on fortifying the bilateral relationship between the two nations, specifically within the legal and judicial sectors.
During the session, the two Ministers explored mechanisms to enhance the strategic partnership in the administration of justice. The dialogue centered on developing a robust framework for collaboration between the judicial institutions of Somalia and Turkey. Both parties emphasized the necessity of improving the interoperability of their respective legal agencies to ensure the exchange of expertise and the effective implementation of justice reforms.
The Somali delegation included the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Turkey, H.E. Fathudin Ali Mohamed, alongside senior officials and technical staff from the Ministry of Justice. Their presence highlights the commitment of the Federal Government to leveraging international partnerships to advance the capacity and independence of Somalia’s judicial system.
