Mogadishu, SONNA — National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has conducted a successful special operation targeting senior Kharijites leaders in the Middle Shabelle region, as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard national security and protect civilians.
According to official information, the operation was carried out in the village of Maha-Said in the Middle Shabelle region, where senior Kharijites elements had convened a meeting to plan acts intended to harm the Somali people.
The targeted operation was executed while the militants were in the meeting and proceeded as planned, dealing a significant blow to the group’s leadership and operational coordination.
The operation forms part of continued intelligence-led actions by Somali security agencies aimed at disrupting terrorist networks, preventing planned attacks, and restoring peace and stability in the country.
