Mogadishu,(SONNA)- Somali National Army, with the support of international partners, last night conducted a planned air operation in the Jabad Godone area of the Middle Shabelle region.
The operation targeted a site used by the Al-Shabaab terrorist group to plan and coordinate terrorist activities, particularly the manufacture and deployment of explosive devices intended to harm civilians. As a result of the operation, 17 terrorist operatives were killed.
In addition, weapons and vehicles used by the group to carry out their criminal activities were completely destroyed.
The Somali National Army once again reaffirms its commitment to continuing planned operations to dismantle Al-Shabaab, in order to ensure the security, stability, and safety of the Somali people.
