MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartaag, presided over the closing ceremony of a specialized training course for female members of the Somali Police Force today. The event marks a continued effort to enhance the professional capacity and inclusivity of the nation’s security institutions.
Spanning a period of ninety days, the comprehensive program was designed to equip the officers with advanced security skills and operational knowledge. The curriculum focused on essential policing techniques and strategies, aiming to ensure that the officers are fully prepared to meet the evolving security requirements of the country.
During his address, Minister Fartaag commended the vital contribution of women in maintaining law and order and rebuilding the nation’s security infrastructure. He highlighted that the inclusion of highly trained female officers is essential for a comprehensive approach to community safety and state-building.
The Minister urged the graduates to serve their country and community with integrity and dedication. He emphasized the importance of applying the theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired during the three-month course to their daily duties, thereby contributing directly to the safety, stability, and service delivery of the republic.
