Mogadishu (SONNA) – The third National Scholars Conference, organized by the Federal Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, entered its second day in Mogadishu with the participation of more than 300 Somali scholars from across the country, as well as from Africa, Europe, and the United States.
The second day of the conference centered on key national priorities, including the country’s ongoing development agenda, the security situation in the capital, and the continued successes of the Somali National Army in operations against Al-Shabaab. Scholars also discussed the risks posed by clan-based conflicts and the need for strengthened social harmony and religious guidance to prevent further divisions.
The annual gathering serves as a major platform for Somali scholars to contribute to national dialogue and support efforts toward peace, unity, and state-building.
