Mogadishu (SONNA) — The Commander of the Somali National Army, Gen. Odowaa Yusuf Rageh, today welcomed former NISA Director and Somalia’s Representative to the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Gen. Abdirahman Mohamed Tuuryare, at the Ministry of Defence headquarters.
The meeting focused on strengthening the role of the Somali National Army in international counter-terrorism cooperation and enhancing collaboration with global partners to ensure stability in Somalia and the wider region.
Gen. Tuuryare briefed the Army Chief on IMCTC’s operations, highlighting its efforts in countering extremist ideology and disrupting terrorist financing networks.
This cooperation is part of Somalia’s broader strategy to consolidate security, peace, and stability.
