Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, has paid a visit to the Somali National Army (SNA) Forward Operating Base in Qorilow and the town of Raaga-Ceelle as part of his continued frontline engagements.
At Qorilow FOB, Minister Fiqi commended the bravery and determination of Somali forces, urging them to intensify operations to liberate the remaining areas under al-Shabaab control.
Later in Raaga-Ceelle, the Minister held discussions with SNA commanders and local community leaders. He praised the resilience of the national army and community defence forces, stressing that the unity of the Somali people and the sacrifices of the armed forces are key to achieving lasting victory over the extremists.
Minister Fiqi reiterated the Federal Government’s steadfast support for the national army and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening coordination between the military and local communities in the fight against al-Shabaab.
