Amman, Jordan – July 10, 2025 – Mr. Mohamed Abduqadir Ali, Somalia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, represented the Federal Government of Somalia at the launch of the Arab Strategy for Youth, Peace, and Security, held in Amman, Jordan. This significant gathering brings together youth leaders and policymakers from across the Arab world to discuss vital issues pertaining to youth empowerment and regional stability.
During his visit, Minister Mohamed Abduqadir engaged in a bilateral meeting with his Jordanian counterpart, Yazan Shdeifat, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Jordan. Their discussions centered on strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations, with a particular focus on fostering cooperation in youth development and sports initiatives.
Minister Shdeifat elaborated on Jordan’s role as the host nation for this year’s Arab youth gathering, highlighting Amman’s selection as the capital for Arab youth initiatives. This designation underscores Jordan’s commitment to supporting and empowering the region’s young population.
Minister Mohamed Abduqadir extended his sincere gratitude to the Jordanian government and Minister Shdeifat for the warm reception accorded to him and his delegation.
