Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Danab Commandos of the Somali National Army (SNA) last night conducted a planned operation in the Baqdaad area of the Lower Shabelle region, targeting Al-Shabaab militants.
During the operation, four boats used by the Al-Shabaab to cross riverine areas along the Shabelle corridor, for transporting supplies, carrying out attacks, and launching covert operations, were destroyed.
The operation also destroyed sites used by the militants to plan and stage attacks; key hideouts and weapons storage points where they sought refuge were likewise targeted and dismantled.
