The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mahamuud Moallim Abdulle met with Turkish Deputy Ambassador Ozan Can Gumus and Turkish Red Crescent Head of Operations Serif Simsek to discuss preparations for the predicted La Niña drought in Somalia.
The meeting focused on how Turkey can assist in drought prevention efforts and increase humanitarian aid. Deputy Ambassador Gumus assured that Turkey would soon provide critical aid to support vulnerable communities in Somalia, reinforcing the ongoing partnership between the two nations in disaster response and relief efforts.
