Mogadishu, (SONNA) – A pivotal National Dialogue Conference, initiated by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, is scheduled to officially begin tomorrow, June 16, in the capital city of Mogadishu.
The conference will gather a wide range of delegates from within Somalia and abroad, including traditional elders, intellectuals, political leaders, and civil society representatives. The initiative aims to strengthen national unity and foster inclusive dialogue on critical state matters such as security, constitutional reforms, elections, and the future of governance in Somalia.
Organized by a special committee appointed by the federal government, the forum reflects the government’s commitment to consulting the Somali people and promoting a transparent and participatory state-building process.
The President has emphasized that the views and concerns of the Somali people must be heard and respected, underscoring the importance of collective wisdom in addressing the country’s challenges.
The National Dialogue is expected to mark a significant step toward inclusive decision-making and a more unified and stable Somalia.
