Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre has appointed a national organizing committee comprising cabinet ministers and officials from the Benadir Regional Administration to coordinate the upcoming Independence Week celebrations.
The committee is tasked with overseeing preparations for the commemoration of Somalia’s 65th Independence and Unity anniversaries — marked on June 26 and July 1 — including ensuring security and coordinating the activities of relevant government institutions participating in the celebrations.
This move underscores the government’s commitment to honoring the nation’s historic milestones and fostering a spirit of unity and patriotism among citizens.
