Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Abdisalam Abdi Ali, met with the Head of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) in Somalia, Mr. Fran O’Grady, during an official visit to the Ministry in Mogadishu.
Minister Abdisalam welcomed Mr. O’Grady and expressed the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with UNMAS in support of national stability and recovery.
Mr. O’Grady congratulated the Minister on his recent appointment and briefed him on ongoing collaboration between UNMAS, national ministries, and the Somali Police. He affirmed plans to expand joint efforts to address mine clearance and explosive hazard management across the country.
