Mogadishu (SONNA) – His Excellency Hamza Abdi Barre, the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, today hosted His Excellency Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al-Mawlid, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Somalia, at his office in Mogadishu.
The high-level meeting focused on fortifying the already robust cooperative relations between the two brotherly nations. Discussions encompassed various facets of their bilateral partnership, aiming to deepen mutual understanding and collaboration.
Prime Minister Barre extended his sincere gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its support and continuous assistance to both the Somali government and its people. He specifically highlighted Saudi Arabia’s crucial contributions in humanitarian aid, security, investment, and the development of Somalia’s economic infrastructure.
Ambassador Ahmed Al-Mawlid, in turn, reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to playing a significant role in Somalia’s progress. He emphasized the Kingdom’s dedication to assisting in the development of vital infrastructure and supporting efforts to eliminate Khawarij groups from the country, thereby enabling the Somali people to achieve substantial and lasting progress.
