Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, paid a courtesy visit today to the leader of SSC-Khaatumo, Abdikadir Ahmed Aw-Ali (Firdhiye), to congratulate the administration on officially joining Somalia’s federal member states.
During the meeting, the SSC-Khaatumo leader briefed the Commissioner on the ongoing humanitarian challenges in the region, including the pressing needs of vulnerable communities due to poor Gu rainfall. He expressed gratitude to the Government of China for its upcoming delivery of large-scale humanitarian aid, part of which is designated for SSC-Khaatumo.
The two leaders also discussed accelerating the implementation of projects previously launched in Lasanod by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, and agreed on the importance of continued SoDMA-led humanitarian efforts across the region.
