Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), held a high-level meeting today with the Speaker of the Upper House, H.E. Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two chambers of Parliament.
The meeting focused on boosting coordination on joint legislative duties and accelerating progress on key national laws. Both leaders emphasized the importance of aligning efforts to tackle the broad legislative agenda facing the 11th Parliament and advancing priority bills crucial to Somalia’s state-building and governance reforms.
The discussions mark a continued commitment to effective inter-chamber collaboration in support of Somalia’s democratic and institutional development.
