Mogadishu, (SONNA) — As part of its priority efforts to modernize and enhance public services, the Ministry of Communications and Technology is fast-tracking the revival of Somalia’s national postal service.
Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Faarax Cabdinuur Ahmed, held a strategic meeting with staff from the Postal Services Department to discuss preparations for the official relaunch of postal operations, expected to take place in May.
During the meeting, postal department staff presented progress updates and outlined how the service will be modernized using advanced technology to streamline operations. Once reactivated, the national postal system will enable Somali citizens around the world to efficiently send and receive mail, reconnecting families and boosting communication across borders.
