Laascaanood, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, delivered a powerful speech at the SSC-Khaatumo regional parliament, emphasizing the importance of national unity, peace, and inclusive governance.
Addressing lawmakers and community leaders, Prime Minister Barre said that the Federal Government has made significant strides in state-building and decentralization, resulting in the implementation of key development projects in Laascaanood and across SSC-Khaatumo.
“The people of SSC-Khaatumo symbolize the unity and cohesion of the Somali nation. We must protect peace as we protect our national flag. Unity and peace are the cornerstones of governance,” said the Prime Minister. “We aim to ensure peace, development, and the holding of inclusive and credible elections across the country. I pledge that SSC-Khaatumo will receive full government services.”
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding essential public services in the region, stressing that federal institutions will be made accessible to the people of SSC-Khaatumo as part of the broader state decentralization plan.
