Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The State Minister of the Ministry of Family and Human Rights Development of Somalia, H.E Mohamed Osman Naastaro, officially received disability support equipment from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center today. The donation was then handed over to the National Disability Agency to support individuals in need.
The handover ceremony, held at the National Theatre, saw the distribution of 63 wheelchairs, 20 crutches, and 20 walking canes by the National Disability Agency. The event was attended by the Chairman of the National Disability Agency, Mohamed Abdul Jamac, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Mawlid, and UNDP Somalia Resident Representative, Lionel Laurens.
State Minister Naastaro expressed his gratitude to the King Salman Relief Agency and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in addressing the needs of persons with disabilities and ensuring their full integration into society. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to improving the rights and livelihoods of all citizens, particularly vulnerable groups.
