The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hamza Abdi Barre, today received the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Somalia, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Al-Nuaimi, at his office in Mogadishu, where the two sides discussed strengthening the longstanding relations between the two brotherly nations.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister briefed the Ambassador on the Somali government’s ongoing efforts in the areas of security, political development, and national reconstruction, as well as the DanQaran Government’s plans to implement public elections across the country.
Prime Minister Hamza expressed appreciation to the government and people of Qatar for their continued support to Somalia, particularly in infrastructure development, humanitarian assistance, and efforts aimed at preserving the unity and stability of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The Prime Minister also praised Qatar’s contribution to Somalia’s security sector and its consistent partnership in supporting the country’s recovery and state-building efforts.
For his part, Ambassador Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Al-Nuaimi thanked Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre for the warm reception and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to standing alongside Somalia in safeguarding its unity, solidarity, and development.
The Ambassador further underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation and deepening ties between the two countries across various sectors.
