Mogadishu, (SONNA) – More than 60 Daesh militants were killed by Puntland forces during a recent multi-directional operation targeting their hideouts in the Calmiskaad mountains.
According to General Maxamuud Faadhigo, the spokesperson for Puntland’s military, the confirmed number of Daesh fighters killed exceeds 60, though he noted there could be additional casualties not yet accounted for by the forces.
Gen. Faadhigo stated that this action demonstrates the significant blow dealt to the Daesh militia, with Puntland forces continuing their pursuit of the remaining fighters.
