The conference, attended by 320 delegates from the country’s federal member states, Banadir region, and representatives of 12 Somali labor unions, aims to address labor rights, strengthen democratic practices, promote workers’ unity, combat injustice, enhance democracy, job creation, and national development based on equality and social justice.

Mr. Abdisalan Abdi Ali expressed his satisfaction with the recent signing of the revised Labor Law by the President of the Federal Government of Somalia, which marks a significant achievement for Somali workers after 52 years.
