Mogadishu, SONNA – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation held a prayers and condolences ceremony today in honor of the late Ambassador Yusuf Hassan Ibrahim (Yusuf Dheeg), former Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The event, which took place at the Ministry’s headquarters, was attended by Foreign Minister and International Cooperation Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, Minister of Finance Mr. Biihi Iman Ciige, Permanent Secretary Mr. Hamza Adan Hadow, and Department Directors of the Ministry.
The ceremony included prayers and reflections on Ambassador Yusuf Dheeg’s remarkable 47 years of service to Somalia. Foreign Minister Fiqi extended heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, and all Somalis, praising the late Ambassador’s exceptional dedication and legacy. He prayed for Allah’s mercy upon him and for his final abode to be in Jannah Al-Firdaws.
The Minister also met privately with the family of the late Ambassador, sharing words of comfort and solidarity. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to honoring officials who have left an enduring impact on Somalia’s diplomatic service.
