Mogadishu, Somalia (SONNA) – The Minister of Family and Development of Human Rights of Somalia, Major General Mr. Bashir Mohamed Jama, met with the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia, Ambassador Mohamed Bin Ahmed, to discuss and enhance bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, both parties agreed to collaborate on several key initiatives aimed at fostering community development and empowerment. These initiatives include the construction of centers dedicated to teaching the Qur’an to Somali children and the establishment of facilities to support underprivileged women by enhancing their skills. These projects are set to be implemented nationwide, reflecting a strong commitment to social development.
The discussions also focused on strengthening the relationship between the Ministries of Family of both countries. The two leaders emphasized the importance of exchanging information and knowledge to improve the expertise of officials and experts within their respective ministries. This collaboration aims to foster a deeper understanding and more effective implementation of family and human rights policies.
The meeting, held at the Saudi Embassy in Mogadishu, concluded with a mutual agreement to continue these discussions and expedite the implementation of the agreed-upon measures. This marks a promising step towards stronger bilateral relations and enhanced cooperation between Somalia and Saudi Arabia.
