Ambassador Awale Kullane attended the “My Dream of Going to Space” Award Ceremony in Beijing. The event, hosted by the Secretariat of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the China Manned Space Engineering Office, aimed to engage African youth in China’s space exploration efforts.
The ceremony featured the presentation of the “TIANHE PRIZE” works from the Tiangong Space Station and a Q&A session with Chinese astronauts. Ambassador Kullane, representing Somalia, expressed gratitude for the invitation and highlighted the importance of China’s space programs in inspiring African youth in science and technology. The Somali Embassy’s participation demonstrates the country’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and promoting collaboration with China in various fields, including science and technology.
