Mogadishu, SONNA – Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on National Security today. The meeting was attended by top security officials and the Mayor of Mogadishu.
During the meeting, important points were presented on the liberation and stabilization of the country.
These included lifting the arms embargo and implementing a plan to draw down ATMIS forces.
Reports were also presented on ongoing operations to stabilize security and the second phase of the war against terrorist groups.
The meeting discussed a draft agreement on the prohibition of mass destruction weapons testing and a law on the security of hotels and business areas.
Additionally, the preparation of an ATMIS forces drawdown plan and lifting of the arms embargo were discussed.
This meeting represents a significant step forward in coordinating efforts to improve security and stability in Somalia.
