President Hassan extends condolence on the death of former Deputy Prime Minister

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud sent his heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Ismail Mohamud Hurre Buba, a former Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, who passed away in Turkeyon Wednesday.

The former Somali Foreign Minister, Ismail Mohamud Hurre Buba died at the age of 80.

Ismail was a veteran politician who served twice as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and member of the Parliament during previous transitional governments led by Presidents Abdikasim Salad Hassan and Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed respectively.

The deceased was fluent in several languages, most notably Somali, Arabic, English, and French.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government, Hamza Abdi Barre, the Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Ahmed Jama, and other officials sent their condolences to the family of the deceased and to the Somali people.
