Mogadishu(SONNA) – The State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Balal Mohamed Cusman, opened, on Sunday in Mogadishu, a one-day consultative meeting of directors of ministerial departments on the national diaspora policy with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation praised the valuable advisory work carried out by the Department of Diaspora Affairs in the Ministry, whereby its officials and advisors made tours inside the country and consulted with various groups of the people to make more arrangements for gathering visions and ideas.
The Director of the Diaspora Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Gure Mohamed, said that the setting up of the national diaspora policy is in its last consultative stages aimed at providing an opportunity for all Somalis, whether inside or outside the borders of the country, to express their views and interests so that the policy is compatible with an ambitious and steadfast people.
