Mogadishu (SONNA) — Yaqshid District has advanced to the second round of the Ramadan Quiz Competition after defeating Bosaso District with a score of 12 points to 10.
The competition, which is broadcasted nightly by the Somali National Media, is aired live on Somali National Television and can also be followed on Radio Muqdisho and SONNA.
The Ramadan Quiz Competition has now entered its 16th year. This year’s edition is jointly sponsored by IBS Bank and the Banadir Regional Administration.
Each year, the competition brings together 32 districts from across Somalia. The winning district is awarded trophies, cash prizes, and other recognitions, including certificates that highlight the academic achievement and intellectual excellence of the country’s emerging young generation.
