The announcement follows crucial discussions between the presidents of Somalia and Somaliland held in Djibouti.
A brief statement issued by the UK embassy in Somalia said, “We welcome the communique agreed following important talks between presidents of Somalia and Somaliland in Djibouti, which is a vital step towards reconciliation.”
The Federal Government of Somalia and Somaliland issued a communique last night that contained 8 points, which touched on different aspects, and the purpose was to strengthen diplomatic ties and achieve lasting reconciliation between the parties.
