Ankara, (SONNA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan honored the Somali government for its support in addressing the challenges that rose from the earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023.
During a ceremony marking the second anniversary of the earthquake held in Adiyaman Province, President Erdogan expressed gratitude to the Somali government, emphasizing their unwavering solidarity with the Republic of Türkiye.
He extended greetings to the President of Somalia and the Somali people.
The Somali Consul in Turkey, Abdirahim Mohamud, received a Memory Award from President Erdogan, thanking him for Türkiye’s support and collaboration in tackling the aftermath of climate change-related disasters.
