Mogadishu(SONNA)-President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Tuesday called for an immediate ceasefire to warring sides in Las’anod city in Sool region following two days fighting that caused casualties.
The President sent condolence to the families, friends and the Somali People who impacted the confrontation in the region.
“The Federal Government is ready to support peace and anyone who likes to be part the negotiations to end the conflict in the region”, The President said in a statement.
He urged politicians, traders, traditional elders and scholars to take their role in stopping the clashes, telling the warring sides to put the gun and respect people’s will.
“The Government will never accept to solving problems among us with a gun”, He added.
