Lasanod, (SONNA) – The leader of SSC-Khaatumo, Mr. Abdiqadir Ahmed Aw-Cali, officially welcomed a high-level delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia during a working visit to Lasanod, the administrative capital of SSC-Khaatumo.
The delegation was led by the Federal Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Mahmoud Adan Gesood, and included Senator Zeynab Ismail Tiinbiye, a senior member of Somalia’s Upper House of Parliament. The visit is part of ongoing efforts to accelerate the formation of a formal regional administration for SSC-Khaatumo, with the Federal Government reaffirming its full support for institution-building and stronger intergovernmental collaboration.
Minister Gesood held meetings with SSC leadership, traditional elders, women leaders, and various community representatives, commending their role in promoting stability and advancing local governance in the region.
