Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Chairman of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), received the Italian Ambassador to Somalia, Amb. Pier Mario Docco Coppi, at his office today. The two officials discussed strengthening bilateral relations and deepening the longstanding friendship between Italy and Somalia.
The Italian Ambassador highlighted that Italy and Somalia have enjoyed a time-honored relationship spanning multiple sectors, noting that this partnership continues to progress on a positive trajectory.
Speaker Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe) commended the enduring and robust ties between Somalia and Italy. He also expressed his gratitude to both the Italian government and the European Union for their continued support to Somalia.
This meeting reinforces the commitment of both countries to work closely together to further develop their mutual interests and to support Somalia’s progress on the regional and international stage.
