Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), today met with U.S. Ambassador to Somalia, Richard H. Riley, along with Deputy Chief of Mission Justin Davis and Matthew Younger, Head of Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Mogadishu.
Discussions focused on deepening the friendship and cooperation between Somalia and the United States.
Ambassador Riley commended the Speaker’s leadership, particularly in advancing key legislation and strengthening constitutional institutions.
Speaker Madobe, in turn, thanked the United States for its consistent support in Somalia’s political, security, and economic sectors. Both sides agreed to further enhance bilateral ties across various fields.
