Jeddah, Saudi Arabia(SONNA)-The Director of the Somali National News Agency (SONNA), Ismail Mukhtar Omar, participated in a high-level conference organized by The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) in collaboration with the Assistant Secretariat for Institutional Communication at the Muslim World League.
This event, known as the “Ramadan Forum,” took place in Jeddah on Wednesday and focused on the theme “Building Bridges Between Islamic Schools of Thought,” marking the second anniversary of the document’s adoption.
Omar was joined by directors from 32 news agencies as well as media professionals and officials from member states of the organization, along with attendees from 19 countries across Europe, South America, Australia, Canada, and Africa.
The forum featured two video presentations that highlighted the Union’s activities and programs, as well as the League’s key initiatives and international efforts.
SONNA, as Somalia’s official news agency, is dedicated to taking a leading role in information sharing and actively participating in cooperation with the Union of OIC News Agencies.
