Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Community defense forces in Ceeldheer district launched a surprise dawn attack on Sunday against Al-Shabaab militants who were regrouping in the area of Cali Tifoow, approximately 20 kilometers from Ceeldheer in the Galgaduud region.
According to credible sources, the local fighters successfully captured the militant base in Cali Tifoow. Several Al-Shabaab members were killed or wounded in the assault, with casualties reportedly transported to the nearby area of Cowsweyne in Ceeldheer district.
