Port Sudan, (SONNA) — H.E. Dr. Ahmed Jama Omar, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Sudan, presented copies of his Letters of Credence to H.E. Muhidin Saalim, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sudan, as part of the formal accreditation process.
During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed greetings from Somalia’s leadership and reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across political, economic, educational, and cultural sectors. Both sides emphasized the importance of advancing shared priorities that contribute to regional stability, sustainable development, and closer multilateral coordination.
The Minister welcomed the Ambassador and reaffirmed Sudan’s full support for his mission, commending the longstanding relations between the two countries. The engagement reflects Somalia’s continued efforts to deepen its diplomatic partnerships and strengthen its presence across the region, while opening the door for enhanced cooperation on areas of mutual interest.
