Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, held a meeting with the UN Deputy Special Representative, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Mr. George Conway, to discuss progress on the ongoing UN transition mission in Somalia.
The talks focused on strengthening coordination between the Federal Government and the United Nations as the mission moves into a new phase, ensuring a smooth and effective transition. Both sides also emphasized the importance of advancing durable solutions for communities affected by displacement across the country.
The meeting underscored a shared commitment to supporting stability, local governance, and long-term recovery efforts, while prioritizing the needs of vulnerable populations impacted by conflict and natural disasters.
