Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Mohamed A. Hayir (Maareeye) hosted a farewell ceremony today for four students awarded scholarships to pursue postgraduate studies in Plant Mutation at the University of Zimbabwe. These outstanding students were selected through a highly competitive selection program.
For the first time since Somalia’s civil unrest, the Ministry of Agriculture, with support from the Ministry of Finance (SCRP, funded by the World Bank), is sending students abroad for higher education in agricultural sciences.
