Riyadh, (SONNA) — The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), who is currently on a working visit to Saudi Arabia, met with the Deputy Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Ayyaf.
The meeting focused on strengthening security cooperation, combating terrorism, sharing security experiences, and enhancing collaboration between the security agencies of both countries. They also discussed ways to increase Saudi support for the reconstruction and capacity-building of Somalia’s security institutions.
Minister Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail, accompanied by the Somali Police Chief, General Asad Osman Abdullahi, expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its role in supporting Somalia, particularly regarding security and stabilizing the country, emphasizing the importance of ongoing, effective cooperation.
For his part, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Ayyaf confirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Somalia and pledged to continue aiding its security agencies to ensure safety and stability.
